NSE Ban List 2024 Download
A stock is placed in the Ban List when its Market Wide Position (MWP) exceeds 95%, indicating that the Ban List encompasses futures and options stocks where the cumulative open interest across all F&O contracts for a specified period surpasses 95% of the Market Wide Position Limit.
What is MWPL?
MWPL or Market-Wide Position Limit is such a limit that defines the maximum number of unsettled option contracts for any of a given derivative stock or share. At this time, the MWPL for any indian derivative stocks or share is 95%.
What are Possible Entrants and Possible Exits?
We have already mentioned that MWPL of any share should be above 95% to enter the FnO ban list.
If any stock having an MWPL above 80%, then it has chances to enter the ban list in the near future. So, we should filter out such stocks and put them in the possible entrants list. After that it becomes a lot easier to find them.
Also, If any stock or share is in the Ban List and its MWPL or Market-Wide Position Limit starts dropping below 95%, then it has chances of possible exits from the ban list, in the near future.
