What is NSE Ban List?

If the MWPL is above 95% of any stock/share then it enters in Ban list. That means Ban List shows the F&O stocks whose combined open interest in all FnO contracts for a given period crosses 95% of MWPL.

What is MWPL?

MWPL or Market-Wide Position Limit is such a limit that defines the maximum number of unsettled option contracts for any of a given derivative stock or share. At this time, the MWPL for any indian derivative stocks or share is 95%.

What are Possible Entrants and Possible Exits?

We have already mentioned that MWPL of any share should be above 95% to enter the FnO ban list.

If any stock having an MWPL above 80%, then it has chances to enter the ban list in the near future. So, we should filter out such stocks and put them in the possible entrants list. After that it becomes a lot easier to find them.

Also, If any stock or share is in the Ban List and its MWPL or Market-Wide Position Limit starts dropping below 95%, then it has chances of possible exits from the ban list, in the near future.
